Alpina, a Swiss watch manufacturer that was in 1883, has just unveiled their new Seastrong Diver Gyre Automatic line. The word “Gyre” is a reference to the start-up Gyre Watch who sources recycled material and gyres, circular ocean currents where a vast majority of the plastic waste in the ocean can be found. With this partnership, they have made the new Seastrong Diver Gyre Automatic’s case out of fishing nets that have been recycled. Alpina has created the new Seastrong Diver Gyre Automatic range in five different variations, including three men’s models and two ladies’ models. Each of these watches is powered by the AL-525 automatic movement that includes hours, minutes, seconds hands and it also tells the date. Each of the editions will be limited to just 1,883 pieces, a reference to the year that Alpina was founded. Each will come with an eco-friendly box that includes recycled material. Alpina will be launching this new line on June 8th, 2020, which happens to be World Oceans Day. A coincidence? Absolutely not. Alpina is aiming to draw attention to the major ocean cleanups that need to take place if we want to preserve our oceans. Additionally, Alpina is supporting the Surfrider Foundation Europe with the launch of this new watch. To learn more, be sure to click the button below.

Fans of digital watches and Hublot can rejoice as the watchmaker has just debuted the new Big Band E Black Ceramic. This new “connected” watch comes after Hublot introduced their first of its kind back in 2018. Now, the new E Black Ceramic builds upon Hublot’s engineering capabilities and reputation by being the most stylish digital watch out there. The microblasted and polished black ceramic case measures in at 42 mm, which is joined by a matching bezel. Hublot has also introduced a titanium version of this watch as well, where titanium replaces the ceramic. Holding the watch onto the wearer’s wrist is a rubber strap that matches the black case perfectly in both color and design. Additionally, this strap can be swapped out easily thanks to Hublot’s patented one-click system- no extra tools needed. As for the dials, those are all Hublot digital faces and there’s a wide variety. The technology itself runs on Wear OS by Google so you can answer calls, use your payment cards and everything else you’d expect from a smartwatch.

For the first time in Hublot’s history they are offering the new Big Bang E Black Ceramic and E Titanium for sale online. The E Black Ceramic comes in with a price of $5,800 while the E Titanium has a price of $5,200. For more information, click the button below.
